Colorectal and General Surgeon
Dr Rajan is an experienced Colorectal and General Surgeon practising in Brisbane and Redlands. He completed his General Surgical training at Royal Prince Alferd and Concord Hospital in Sydney, NSW and obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
He subsequently pursued subspecialty training in Colorectal Surgery in Sydney and Adelaide, under the auspices of the Australia & New Zealand Training Board in Colorectal Surgery.
He is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand and is certified by the CCRTGE (Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy) to perform Colonoscopies.
His scope of practice extends from benign conditions such as haemorrhoids and perianal disease to complex diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease and cancers of the colon and rectum. He has an interest in the assessment, evaluation, and management of functional anorectal and pelvic floor disorders.
He is experienced in the management of general surgical conditions including hernias, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis and pilonidal disease.
Dr Rajan is very experienced with laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgeries, as well as traditional open surgical techniques. He has expertise in advanced colonoscopic procedures.
Dr Rajan’s focus is on providing the most up-to-date and high-quality care for his patients. He participates proactively in multidisciplinary care for patients with complex conditions- liaising with their General Practitioners, Medical specialists, and allied health team members.
He aims to listen to patients’ concerns, answer their queries, and help them navigate what can be a very challenging time in their health journey.
