Most consultations will attract a gap payment which may vary from type of specialist. Our Specialist’s consultation fees are still below the recommended AMA (Australian Medical Association) rates. The fees will differ depending on whether it is your first or a follow-up consultation. Medicare will cover a large portion of the fees, provided a valid referral from a general practitioner or specialist.
GP referrals are valid for 12 months and specialist referrals for 3 months. Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) patients are bulk billed, and pensioners may be charged at a reduced rate.
If you are registered for Medicare Online, you will receive the Medicare reimbursement directly into your nominated bank account within 72 hours. If you are not registered for Medicare Online, you can claim your reimbursement from Medicare directly using the invoice you receive.
