General and Perioperative Medicine Consultant
Dr Yassmin Khadra is a Queensland-trained consultant physician with expertise in general and perioperative medicine. She has trained extensively across Metro North Health, including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she now works as a staff specialist. She is also a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and a Visiting Medical Officer at The Wesley Hospital.
Yassmin provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for people with complex or multisystem medical conditions. She is highly skilled in using diagnostic tests appropriately and effectively to solve difficult medical problems, with a focus on treatments that improve quality of life.
She has a strong interest in perioperative medicine and is a graduate of the Chapter of Perioperative Medicine, ANZCA. Her work focuses on assessing and optimising patients before and after surgery to reduce risks and support the best outcomes.
Referrals are welcome for:
- Patients with undifferentiated or complex medical problems
- Pre-operative and post-operative assessment and optimisation
- Support with chronic disease management and multimorbidity
Yassmin values clear communication with patients, families, and GPs to ensure care is safe, coordinated, and tailored to individual needs.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her young family.
